Training program : Les Eveilleurs des Sens

It was with great pride that we gathered with Jérôme Viaud, Mayor of Grasse and President of the Pays de Grasse Agglomeration Community, Senator Dominique Estrosi Sassone, and Sub-Prefect Jean-Claude Geney, on Monday May 12 for the launch of Les Eveilleurs des Sens. Les Eveilleurs des Sens is a training program within the “Flavors & Fragrances” sector, part of a regional dynamic, which will enable young people to discover the sector’s agricultural and industrial trades, pass on know-how, and promote the professional integration of young people without qualifications. A program that we have been co-constructing for almost 6 years, through our MUL Foundation endowment fund, with Maison CHANEL and in partnership with the Ecole de la 2ème Chance Nice Côte d’Azur (E2C), and which will be offered from September 2025 to players in the industry in the Pays de Grasse.

“Faced with the recruitment challenges facing the Flavors and Fragrances sector, both in our fields and on our industrial sites, we wanted to create a system that would bring jobseekers and employers in the sector closer together. A system that takes into account the unique nature of our industry, one that is capable of “training” and “learning trades”.

50% of “Arômes et Parfums” companies are SMEs, and most of them are family businesses. These are companies where, as in the craft industry, trades are still passed down from generation to generation in the field, by observing gestures and sharing experience, where we are prepared to recruit without experience, where we know how to take the time to train, where the work allows for internal development, and where employees are above all passionate about their work.

We wanted to bring these ‘school’ companies closer to the world of social integration, and thus create a laboratory for social innovation”, Cécile Mul, President Jean GAZIGNAIRE – Groupe MUL.

The Les Eveilleurs des Sens training course aims to:

  • Reducing inequalities in access to employment for young people in the Flavors & Fragrances sector
  • Collaborate with public and private bodies to promote social integration
  • Offer long-term, sustainable jobs for all young people involved in the program
  • Create stepping stones between agricultural and industrial trades.

We would also like to thank PRODAROM, ASFO Grasse and Campus Vert d’Azur, our partners involved in the training aspect of the course.
