Our Lands of the Senses I Episode 1: Arabica Coffee, Colombia
Coming from a responsible supply chain, traced from the mountains of Medellìn to our production site in Pégomas, our Arabica Coffee reveals an exceptional quality benefiting from the PGI “Café de Colombia” appellation of origin.
The Arabian coffee tree, pruned to 2 or 3 metres, bears fruit after a few years to give white flowers with an intoxicating fragrance, then drupes called “cherries”, containing the coffee beans.
Each coffee tree produces an average of 2.5 kg of cherries per year, or 400 to 700 grams of roasted beans.
Transported to our sites, the coffee beans pass through the hands of our R&D teams who have developed different extraction and distillation processes to develop the best qualities of aromatic extracts, where each concentration is studied to meet precise specifications according to our customers’ application.
Absolute, oleoresin, alcoholates, infusions or aqueous extracts, our production workshops give off a unique olfactory experience that enriches our aromatic palette of extracts with “brown” notes.
From the coffee plant to the extract, each step is designed to guarantee traceability and transmission of exceptional know-how.
